Well I broke the track adjuster Yoke (cylinder). It split in half. Not sure why, I would think the spring would give enough to keep from putting too much pressure from the piston on the grease, but I don't know....IDEAS? (Just so I won't do it again). Real problem is I bought a new yoke but I have the wrong seal kit. Apparently there were two different ones. I have the kit for the Post 140454 serial number but I need the one for the Pre-140454. The book calls it a Quad Ring Seal and Backup Washer, but I can't find a part number or where to purchase. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Track Adjuster
Re: Track Adjuster
You could split a yoke or blow seals with too much grease pressure. Maybe it had a weak spot. It helps if you tell what machine you are working on, not just the unit serial number. Where did you buy the yoke and did the seals come with it?
Re: Track Adjuster
Sorry...It's a JD 350BE My son found the yoke and bought it on BrokenTractor.com. The seal kit that he bought is the only one they listed for the 350b. He didn't do enough research and we ended up with the wrong seal. The seal we received came from Bulldog and is a JH-BD-905000 Their part number for the correct one is JH-BD-905002....I think.
Re: Track Adjuster
I would recommend you use the JD Parts Catalog for your machine to get part numbers from. Then those numbers can be cross referenced if needed. Here is a link to the page in the on line 350B JD parts catalog for the track adjuster. https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/sid ... gId/230196
Did you contact the vendor you used about the problem? I don't know about, and won't speculate on, Broken Tractor's or Bulldog"s part numbers, parts, support or return policies.
Lavoy sells parts for JD crawlers and provides this site for us. He also works on them and has first hand knowledge of many of the models. You might contact him (postmaster@jdcrawlers.com) and at least get the seals you need from him. I will be surprised if he can't supply them.

Re: Track Adjuster
Lavoy has them. Just installed one from him. Great.
