I am thinking it is OK to run the 350C without the hardnose, as I have a task to do before it rains and is forecast to rain Friday ( could come earlier). I just need to grade out an area where I dumped dirt and clay with my wheel loader and I want a nicer job than just using my rear Box scraper.
Also I want to make sure I have no cooling system leaks before I install the hardnose.
But the negatives would or could be
It may affect the cooling of the radiator ?
Also if I kicked up a stick, 2x4 or old tree branch it could end up ruining my "naked" radiator
I would appreciate your feed back
Operate 350C without hardnose installed
Re: Operate 350C without hardnose installed
It will run without the hood and hard nose. If it does heat, you should see it on the temp gauge so you can stop and let it cool some. You recognize the risk of the lack of protection around the radiator and fan. You know the work area and amount of debris that might "poke" it, in the material you want to level, I don't. Your machine, I expect you will be the operator, you know the risks and reward, your call in the end.
Re: Operate 350C without hardnose installed
Thanks again Jim B, Yes I definitely want to be careful. But it is important that I get it leveled and seeded before winter sets in.
Re: Operate 350C without hardnose installed
Should be fine as long as your extra careful for debris.
