Post by 450cguy » Thu May 06, 2021 8:40 pm

Does anyone have any input on a cheaper option for a hydraulic pump??? Cheapest rebuild kit is close to 500. Thanks

Which pump do you have? Pumps of different volumes were used on dozers, loaders, backhoes and combinations of those.

That said, that rebuild kit may be as inexpensive as it gets, Depending on pump volume there are new options (aftermarket mainly) from about 700 to 2,000.00. You could contact Lavoy directly with your pump numbers, and see what he might have access to.

Cheaper but you will have to adapt existing lines, just a thought.

FYI to figure output in GPM take volume cu/in rev X RPM/231. so a 4.27 cu in pump would be 4.27 x 1800 =7686 cu/in 7686/231 = 33.27 GPM @ 1800 RPM. (231 in how many cu in in a gallon)
