Winch 3305 for 450D

Post by Mr. John » Wed May 19, 2021 6:34 am

Hi guys,

There is a 3305 winch for sale locally. It looks like the previous owner has thrown together a set of logging rollers for skidding into it.
My question is I have a 450D with pto, would this fit on without major surgery? It looks like the previous owner has some sort of lever rigged up to engage and disengage winch.
I think the proper winch for my model is the 3325. I’m just wondering if this would be worth it. Or is it another headache.

Looks like he built himself a 3 point hitch winch for a wheel tractor. It appears all that framing he added to make it 3 point hitch will need to come off, or be significantly reworked. I am not sure it will fit properly on your 450D. It looks like the mount plates that would be needed to connect it to the rear of your crawler are missing. You need to do some careful measuring between the input shaft and filter on the winch, Then the crawler's power shaft and the top of the rear housing. I think you will find a significant interference. The filter on my 3325 on a 450E is on a mount that moves it up to clear the rear of the crawler, I think you may need the same and I don't know if you can just add that filter mount. You will want the proper control lever and cable to operate it from your seat.
