I know I haven't posted the official introduction, but my life has been fairly hectic lately. I will take care of that in the next few days. LOL
I have a 1967 350 diesel (thank you Lavoy and TJ!!!!) and the throttle cable needs to be replaced. For the love of all things, how are you supposed to get this Rube Goldberg contraption disconnected from the throttle lever? The U bolt holding the cable to the firewall has multiple nuts and they are all tucked inside the bracket connected to the firewall. To say there is not much space is putting it mildly. I'm sure there is some key to this puzzle I am missing.
I can't even order a new cable while I wait because apparently the new part number comes in various lengths, and I need to measure the current cable. I think it is a 48" version, but I'm not sure. The way my luck has been going lately I know if I order one without measuring, it will be the wrong one.
Thanks for any tips.

Welcome.
Give Lavoy a call or send him an email (postmaster@jdcrawlers.com) he may be able to help with getting the right cable, he sells parts.

Re: 1967 350 diesel throttle cable
Lavoy recommended I measure it.
I guess my project tomorrow will be to figure out how to remove it.
Among other projects.
