return of fuel injector

Post by bearchopper » Tue Sep 21, 2021 5:44 pm

Jim you were right the 4th Tee had a fuel line attached to it and appears to be made of a hard plastic tubing of 1/4 in which had melted closed and is connected to the fuel tank.I would like to know if I cut this fuel return line will the fuel rush out before I connect a metal 1/4 metal fuel line to the hard plastic return fuel with a rubber tube and use ring clamps.Is there a back fuel valve to stop fuel from leaving by this exit and only allowing fuel from the return of the fuel injector to enter. Thanks Bearchopper

It should be an unrestricted line, with no valve, for return fuel, so fuel could come out it if the fuel level in the tank is above your cut point.

Jim Thanks The return line comes out at the bottom of the fuel tank and the line is unobstructed just to the 4th Tee.Will there be any fuel coming out of the return line from the fuel tank when I connect it to the 4th Tee. Thanks Bearchopper

If the fuel level in the tank is higher than the place you cut the line to fix it, fuel from the tank will come out.
