555 Water pump

Can anyone tell me if a 555g water pump will work on a 555 model? They look a lot alike with the exception of the pulley.

For future reference posts about 350s and newer should be on the Late Models Board. This post will likely get moved over there when Lavoy or a moderator sees it.

From looking at the parts catalogs, they are not the same. besides the 555 show's just one water pump and the 555g catalog shows several based on serial number. They have different parts catalogs. You can access the on line parts catalogs yourself and check them out. Here is a link to the site: https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/search . Just enter 555 for a search and you will get a drop down list with the several models having 555 in the title. Select the 555 to get that catalog or 555G to get its catalog.
