JD 350B loader track pads

Post by cjman1977 » Sat Feb 05, 2022 4:49 pm

Anyone know what the height of the grousers are on a new triple grouser track pad on a 350B loader? Mine are pretty much even with the new bolt heads I used to put some of the pads back after replacing the rails.
I'm thinking about welding grouser bars on the two outside grousers but not the middle one on each pad to give a little more traction and bite.

I don't remember the exact spec on those pads. Somewhere around an inch maybe a little more. If yours are worn down to the same level as your bolts then now is the time to do something. You can weld on grouser bars or toes and you want them to be about an inch and a half total height. Two inches would be okay but no more than that.
Not sure I would add a toe to the back of the pad since you don't really gain that much traction on the heel of a pad. Usually all you get is a pad full of packed in dirt. You need that heel portion to help scour the dirt from the face of the pad. But that is up to you.
