Anyone put a snow blower on a 350b ?

Post by Scottyb » Tue Feb 22, 2022 2:06 pm

I'm running out of room to pile snow in the yard and have long thought of putting a blower on the front of one of my 350's, I would like to blow the snow back into the trees. I am hoping to use the hydraulic valve not in use from the backhoe ,to run a drive motor for the snowblower. nd add a valve to rotate the chute. Anyone done this? There is plenty of 3 point hitch snowblowers for sale around here that I could convert. Will my pump have enough to run 96inches wide of blower? even 6 feet would be ok, I just want it to work. Thanks in advance for any feedback

You have about 25gpm or less. It would run a small blower very slowly.

I think the other problem you would have is the oil getting too hot. I do not think that machine has a hydraulic oil cooler like most skid steers. My JD skid steer has a oil cooler as big but not as think as the radiator and I was suprised how warm the auxiliary lines get just from using a grapple.

Seriously doubt you would have enough hydraulics to run one well. Self powered either hydraulic or mechanical snowblowers that mount onto different vehicles are available but pretty spendy.
Just put a Farm King 74 inch pull type snowblower on our 50 hp 2wd tractor to clear our 2 km long driveway and it works well. Was spending too much time managing the windrow previously

Honda walk behind snowblowers work pretty awesome if you are not clearing acres. Before buying the pull behind blower we plowed the drive with a quad then blew the snow with a 9 hp 28 inch Honda blower
