Winch for a 350C question...

Post by Cuzz » Fri Jan 19, 2007 8:10 pm

First off, I'm the new kid on the block and I can't believe how much good information is here.

I just aquired a 350C and I would really like to put a winch on it. What winches will fit? I do know about the 8a Gearmatic but are there any others... ?

Thanks
Cuzz...

hi cuzz, jd model 3310 and 3315 winches were offered for the 350s, but a jd 10 series winch will fit. i dont think a gearmatic 8a will fit. i do know where there is a jd 10 winch if interested.

What can you tell me about the JD 10? Good line pull? How much cable and size? Just anything interesting would be great...

hi, the book lists the 3310 as having 10,600lb bare drum line pull, full at 6,650lb. it will hold 195ft of 1/2 cable and 125ft of 5/8 cable. the 10 series winch and the 3310 are pretty much the same. came control, same case, and i think most of the inside stuff is the same. we had a jd 10 on a 1010 and i put one on a 350, seemed to pull good, but u have to use them at least once a month to keep the bands from sticking to the drum.
