Changing fluids in CLutch housing, Final drives

Post by SkinnyPedal » Fri Mar 18, 2022 7:02 pm

let me start by asking, Please look over my ignorance. I am really new to the crawlers and JD.
I have a 1985 350c crawler/dozer

I have been changing all the fluids and filters. I have successfully change the engine oil and filter, fuel filter, reverser filter and fluid. I have drained the transmission, steer clutch housings, and finals drives with the 5 drain plugs per the manuals.
I have purchased the service manual, parts manual, and Operators manual but I just can't seem to find how to refill the transmission, steer clutch housing, and final drives. It says they hold 10 gallons and that close to what was removed.
I have put 5 gallon in thru the transmission dip stick tube. It appears that's not the way to get it all filled as it checks WAY over full now. I'm sure I am over looking the refill procedure for the clutch housings and final drives but I can't seem to find it anywhere in the manuals.

Please help

Thank you
Rick in East Tn
