Leaking fuel filter drain.

Post by Cle Elum John » Tue May 10, 2022 7:30 pm

I just changed filters on a 450 straight diesel and can't get the plastic bowl drain to stop dripping. The old seal leaked. I replaced the old seal with the tiny o-ring came with the Wix filter set. That did not help. It didn't look like it was supposed to go there anyway. Anyone know of a work-around or the size of the o-ring that fits. The Deere website only gives the Deere part number. Worthless.

Thanks

Try an industry standard #903 O-ring with a Durometer of 90. Material needs to be fuel service rated, like Buna-N.
