450c Hydraulic Pump to Crank Pulley COUPLER

Post by missesess » Wed May 11, 2022 11:06 am

Can anyone answer this ......
My 219T motor threw a rod and a nice 239D motor came up. (1994 450c)
All very similar block-wise but I just went to bolt on the Hydraulic Pump Coupler to the Crank Pulley and realized the pulley is completely different from the 219T motor.
Unfortunately, the 219T pulley is not 'swap-able' as the front oil seal on the 239D has a separate collar pressed onto the Crank and the 219T Pulley has the Seal Collar integral to the Pulley.
........ the 239D Pulley does not have a seal collar, is therefor shorter, has a wider key-way and the crank is longer on this front end also. (although same diameter)
So, ..... Is there a Hydraulic Pump coupler available that would suit this Motor / Pump combination?
(Pump is a Cessna - 13 spline)
I've seen a bunch of couplers here and there for sale for Fords, Holland etc, but none mentions hole centers nor shaft sizes etc. so looking for advice and gained prior wisdom.
Thanks

1994 won't be a 450C, the last of those built were 1983. The 450G was in production in 1994.

cordlesscarpenter may be along with info on what he used for a coupler to the hydraulic pump. He was going to put an even newer engine (4039) into a 450B, but ended up swapping it for another 4219 I believe. You should read through his post, '73 - 450B Crawler/Loader/Hoe Restoration, on this board. It may give you some insight into what you could encounter. The 239 crank pulley might be more like the 450E with the 4276T engine. I think you will find the drive parts are pretty much JD proprietary parts.

You can go to https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/ and search for different models and compare the parts they used.
