JD 350 fuel line
JD 350 fuel line
Does anyone see a problem with changing fuel line supply and return to flexible rubber hose and eliminating steal rigged hose? anyone do this? watt should i look out for? Good produtcs to use?
Re: JD 350 fuel line
I don't have a problem with using a good flexible fuel line. The rubber or neoprene hoses are okay but do break down after a few years. So a guy just needs to check them occasionally to make sure you don't have problems. Just make sure you buy the good stuff and not some cheap junk.
I have seen guys go a little extra expense and get the braided stainless steel lines that are basically bullet proof. I have also seen guys use copper tubing in place of the steel lines.

Thanks for response! I do think you are correct rubber fuel lines will break down after some time Oil based around heat will dry them out and will be time to replace. So I'll bet if i asked you the question on a rebuild watt you use you would lean towards steal hose. A quick fix rubber hose would work.

Yeah if it was me doing the work I would recommend going with something a little tougher than just standard fuel line. It does work and I have used it before. But you're right, I would go back with steel or the braided stainless.
