Noticed my exhaust adapter between the turbo and elbow loose so I bought a new one.
When I pulled the elbow off i discovered the turbo “hot side” is cooked. Such bad shape the adapter won’t fit correctly and there is a hole in the housing. Shaft turns well and impeller looks good.
Should I send this unit off for a rebuild, buy a Chinese reproduction or look for a good used?
Thanks

Not sure I would go the Chinese route because you never really know what you're getting. Some are great and last a long time but I've seen some melt down the first time they got a lot of heavy load use.
Rebuilt would be my first choice and select used would be a distant second. I have a hard time putting a used turbo on unless I know it came from a really good source. Just my opinion, others may have something different to say.
