Steering clutch problem on 350B dozer

Post by rlanz » Wed Sep 28, 2022 10:08 pm

I replaced steering clutch with new fiber and steel disks, throw out bearing, and pressure plate. Made adjustments to steering lever and brake according to manual. Now it slips, could I have missed something?

Had to. Either not enough plates or didn't torque down pressure plate. Even if you didn't use the JD7 gauge it shouldn't slip unless the pressure plate inner springs are broken.
