JD350 (straight) Lift Pump Pressure

Post by Rainfly » Thu Oct 27, 2022 5:35 pm

Howdy,

Quick question. What would be an acceptable fuel pressure for an electric fuel lift pump? Currently showing 5psi after the lift pump and before the filters.

TIA

Welcome to the Board.

Don't be surprised if you find your post on the Late Models Board when you look for it. The 350 a models built after their production started are covered on that board. A moderator will likely move it over there when they see it.

The specs for the pumps used on a 450B (many others including the 350 use the same transfer pump) are: 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 psi at 16 inches above the pump outlet at 1800 camshaft rpm. The flow is 2 quarts per minute (30 gallons per hour) to 3 quarts per minute (45 gallons per hour) at 2 psi at 1600 camshaft rpm.
