John Deere 450b
Hey guys does a 450b have a hydraulic filter in the tank and where is the oil pressure sending unit?
Re: John Deere 450b
Good morning,
If turbocharged, the oil supply line to the turbo should have a steel block with multiple ports on the right side of the engine. The should be an electric oil sending unit screwed into the port pointing up. And a wire heading to the oil gauge in the dash.
Yes, there is an oil return filter in the tank. To access you have to unbolt the cast piece on top of the tank and remove to change. Much new models have a screw on filter

Re: John Deere 450b
I believe I have a turbo as I got the breather coming out of the hood. So where is relation to the turbo is the oil sender?
Re: John Deere 450b
Turbo is under the hood about mid-engine. Find the heavy flexible rubber hose supplying pressurized oil to the turbo. Follow that hose back, you should then find the port block, unless someone has heavily modified.
