JD 350 reversable fan

Post by gcgrant » Sun Feb 04, 2007 2:48 am

Does anyone know if there is a reversable fan available for gas 350? There is a lot of nice warm air blowing out on the blade that I would much rather have blowing back on me!

Yes Deere had one as an option on all of the350&450 models blower fans were standard equipment and draw fans were optional .Reversible fans were made by HUBBER and are avalible on the internet from them This is the only option that my 350 wide track has and is a use full addition to any small dozer.Digitup.

The other option, but more expensive is to put a comfort cover and a heat tube on it, then you will be toast warm in the winter, and won't have hot air blowing on you in the summer. There is a place in Iowa that makes them, I think if Ft Dodge, but I can't remember their name right now. My brother got the comfort cover for his 1010, but hasn't put it on yet.

Thanks guys I'll be looking into one of those possibilities. I would guess a draw fan would be a bit of a liability if pushing into a fire. Is the draw fan any less effective at keeping things cool in summer? The reversable one is probably the way to go.
Maybe I just need some better underwear.

A draw fan and a heat houser unit would keep you toasty warm as soon as you go to work. Be fore I got a cab for the 21B Allis I had a heat houser custom made for it by a truck tarp out fit down the road and twenty minutes of work it will sweet you out .With the fan turned to draw even at the coldest of temps it is too much heat.which is better than not enough heat .Digitup.
