350c radiator replacement

Post by Gwilkrrs » Tue Mar 28, 2023 8:43 am

anyone no of where to buy a replacement radiator?
the repair shop said the estimate to recore mine would be $900 to $1100 and he advised agaist this as the tanks conditions left a lot to be desired. it looks like the prior owner put several patches on it and non of them good........

To the best of my knowledge there is no complete radiator available.

Ok I will measure it and try to cross reference and size it- thanks.

So I got mine back- the shop repaired 2 small cracks in the top tank the best he could (said he would chase his tail fixing it if he did it proper and then it would just fail) he then added shop stop leak on the bottom tank to stop 2 small leaks- said he wouldn’t even try on the bottom-

We will see how much time this buys me while I hunt for a replacement-

The rad has 2 coolant hoses (top and bottom) and 2 lines on the bottom (trans cooler I think) 1 on each side. The one on the left is nicked from the clamp and dripping- anyone know the sixpze of this hose and if it’s a special type?

If you are asking about the oil cooler hose at the lower tank fitting, the parts catalog shows that one as 1/2" x 5-1/2" . Since it will be carrying the reverser oil it needs to be rated for oil service and 200 to 300 psi working pressure. The part number is TY22327 for the bulk hose for a dealer to cut it from. The hose for the right side shows as a molded hose with a 90 degree bend in it.

Some have mounted an aftermarket transmission cooler as might be used on a car ahead of the radiator. That could open up using a radiator that lacks the lower tank cooler, but fits otherwise.
