Service & parts manuals

Post by mblair441 » Sun May 05, 2024 2:08 pm

I just got home with my newly acquired 350BE. Ser # 146106T Where is the best place to buy parts, service and operator’s manuals? Can anybody tell me how to decode this serial number so I can figure out what the model year actually is.
Thanks, Matt

Welcome to the Boards.

The first thread on the John Deere crawler FAQ's Board here has a listing of 350 model serial to year break down for the different series of 350s. You will see your 350B serial number falls in the 1972 build year. The E means it left the factory as a diesel with an inside mount dover blade and a reverser. The T at the end means it was built at the Dubuque plant.

Lavoy Wilcox, who provides this site for our use, is the place to start when you are looking for manuals and parts. Call him at 701-361-1006 during CST business hours or email him; postmaster@jdcrawlers.com. He prefers such inquiries through those avenues, not as board questions.

Thank you for the quick reply. I knew serial number listing with probably here somewhere. I guess I was too anxious to look around. I will be unloading it off the trailer shortly. I have already found a lengthy thread on a steering clutch release problem that sounds like the only existing problem this unit has. I will be reading it carefully.

You can use the online parts catalogs at

https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/

Enter 350B to get the parts catalog for your crawler. Your blade may be a 6305 (inside the tracks mounting or a 6310 for a blade mounted outside the tracks. Use the blade model number to get that parts catalog. You will find the shoes and related parts on the page with the blade.

I don't know if they are available from JD any more. Again I suggest you start by giving Lavoy a call, he may have a source.
