Hi everyone,
just finished my right side steering clutch, it is nice to turn normal.
My next little project is to hook up the dozerframe and hydraulics.
I've got an old 350 with a dozer what is mounted at the side of the 350 with 2 heavy brackets.
The dozer wasnt in use for 10 years. The guy I bougt it from said that the hydraulic pump is leaking. I cant check it now because there isnt enough oil left in het system.
How to work from here?
I think i start with draining the oil, cleaning and filters and refill the reservoir.
how can i test the pump?
how do i get all the air out of the system?
I have 2 leavers/valves. Does it matter how i connect the hoses (up and down)? Or are the valves the same?
I have no experience with hydraulics, i hope you all can help me a little.
Thanks,
Hugo

hydraulic questions 350 dozer
Hi.
I believe that the one lever on the outside is for auxilary hydraulics (ripper,3 point hitch). The inner lever (closest to the seat is for the blade. My 350B is equipped with both levers as well.I cant really help on the pump question.I do know that Deere still has parts to rebuild your pump.Good luck

hyd hoses and pump leaks
Hugo it does make a difference on the hoses. You want it hooked so when the lever is pushed forward the blade goes down,if it has a float position it won't work.If reversed when you pull the lever to the up position it will drop fast. If pump is leaking externally it is a gasket or o-ring problem,if leak is internal so to speak it would be thrust washers or worn gears. Dean
Also if you have an outside mount blade is it a hydraulic tilt model if so then the valve with detent is for blade and should lift blade when it is pulled back on and drop blade when pushed forward on .The other leaver if for blade tilt would be forward angles right back angles left if so equipped.
