350B Water Pump Leaking

Post by coehillbilly » Thu Nov 01, 2007 9:29 pm

Help!...Original Water Pump Leaks..should I replace the complete pump or work on replacing the seals. It's still on the machine so I do not know the condition of the impeller. I am new to Heavy Equipment and their Repair but a fast learner.
PEACE!

You need a bearing and seal kit for the pump .So take the pump off then take the pump to your dealer .Tell them the size of engine you have your local ag dealer can even do this as they have the parts and you will need a press or again you can do this I recommend to let the dealer install a bearing and seal kit watch the impeller if it is wore down enough you should always install a new impeller .It moves the coolant a lot more efficiently and keeps the system moving coolant easier. If you get to watch make sure that the green push collar dose not turn color if it dose the bearing was pushed on to tight and will burn the bearing and seal out in no time when operated like this Digitup.
