JD 350 Gas (free standing motor)

Was wondering if I could get some help, Got a 350 straight gas motor serial #T23401T.
All I have left is the motor, Am going to use it as a free standing motor in the pole barn. I see the temp gage on top of the head, I think the oil gage went to a small nipple going into the block by the starter? What did it use for a tach? Sorry to sound so dumb, but the machine is gone, and the manual went with it.
