Post by dustin502 » Sun Oct 05, 2008 11:32 pm

Does anyone know how thick the brake lining should be on the brake band? I dont want to replace it if I dont have too. Thanks

I would't worry about the OEM thickness since it's fully adjustable. As long as it's not oil soaked and has enough lining to last a while, it's fine. That being said - I just found out that the truck-shop down the road from me is relining them for $150 each. My farmer-neighbor just got four of them done for his two 350 dozers.

The lining is not oil soaked and it is not damaged anywhere. I believe it will last for a while. Thanks for your help.
