CBC or CDC diesel pump shut-offs on 350s, 450s, 1020s, 2020s

Just in case anybody out there has a diesel 350 or 450 with the small C style pump - some guy on Ebay has three brand new shut-off solenoids for sale. I get asked but them often, and they haven't been available new for almost 20 years.

Price is steep and I'd convert to a different pump before spending $120 on a solenoid- but somebody out there might want one badly.

I am a vendor for Spencer Diesel, great guys to work with, got a couple of their pumps installed on stuff, works great, never been a problem.

I gave them a call awhile back about the CBC pumps they are selling. They are assembled 100% from used parts. Nothing wrong with that, but I'm mentioning it in case somebody thinks they found a new source for obsolete pump parts.

Those pumps were very reliable. In fact, more so than then the current JDB pumps (unless upgraded). I've often wondered why they were discontinued. I heard some funny rumours about it years ago, but nothing verified. A Deere engineer from Syracuse told us that at the time the parts were cut off, Stanadne was owned by two women who were heirs of Vernon Roosa (he invented the pump). They had a personal dispute and somehow it resulted in the end of that pump. Makes no sense? Yeah, but that's the story we were told.
