350 B track stuck

Post by ecostruction » Tue Jun 02, 2009 8:39 am

My 350 B has a stuck right track. Went to adjust the steering yesterday then started it up and the right track won't budge. Last time I moved the machine was probably late Feb. Been started a lot since then, but not moved much. Been sitting on pavement since then. Any thoughts?

Broke Free

Post by ecostruction » Wed Jun 03, 2009 7:56 am

It broke free last night. I did attempt to adjust steering on that side, but that wasn't the issue. Steering is not as good as what it was on that side but is much much better on the opposite side. But both sides work well now and both tracks move freely.

Thanks,

J.

What you might want to check is pull the pipe plug out on the bottom of the steering clutch housing and see if there is any fluid of any kind in there. it is a dry casing but what happened on one of mine there was a hyd leak up top under the seat and the oil ran thru thecrack between the casing and into the steering clutch housing causing the clutch to slip doushed in oil. take a minute and pull the plug.
