350 flywheel and isolator question

Post by typhoon0003 » Fri Aug 28, 2009 6:36 pm

for all of those that have upgraded to the 350d flywheel and isolator, is it possible to modify the old style flywheel on a lathe ( or mill if needed) to accept the new style isolator? thanks for any help.

I would say no, you'd have to remove way too much material from the old flywheel, if you'd even want to, wouldn't be worth trying it.

If you go to your local JD dealer to upgrade to the 350D, and they dont know every thing you need for the job, what would you need to tell them that you need, how many pieces are there that it takes to do the change over.

You would hope the parts guy can look it up, but anyway what you will need is a new flywheel and the new isolator. The new isolator is one piece, no springs and stuff like the old style.
