Help with 93A backhoe

Does anyone know what a 93A backhoe for a 450 loader weighs, it is the one with the rotary cylinder that no one cares for......It has a 18" bucket on it. Thanks for any help...

I THINK somewhere between 2800 and 3300, but I could be all wet.

I am triing to decide if I want to haul it in the bed of my 1 ton dump or tow the trailer.... dont want any trooper trouble......

Thanks I checked Murphys it is a 95A not a 93 A it weighs 3750lbs with the extension..... I bought it just triing to get it home........ Never would have thought it was that heavy.

you've got that right Ken,it is also why these machines are still running after all the years....build them to last then add more steel just to make sure!!!!
that backhoe weights all of that...be very careful loading that thing,I had one off a case that set for a long time and got air into it somehow,that thing flopped down in a pile as soon as I started to move it.

Thanks for all the input.... I have a guy lined up to go ahead and get the machine and hoe I bought at the same time. He has a land-all trailer with a winch and plans on taking a Lull lift to get the hoe and assist in pushing the loader onto the trailer. I plan on taking a few come-a-alongs to bind up the hoe to keep it together. I also seen what size the pin it was to keep the boom from rotating so I am gonna make one of these before I go so I can lock the boom straight, because the way it is sitting the holes lined up perfect.... That will be on less thing to worry about rotating. My transporter has set aside the whole day for me I told him lets be safe about it, dont wanrt anyone getting hurt....Cant wait we did decide to wait till after the 1st of the year thou.....

Well this is it...

The 95A has that wide mount so it kinda does a good job of staying upright on its own.....

sounds like you have a good plan and are prepared....that thing weighs as much as a kubota tractor!!!!!

The operator manual for my Model 50 backhoe attachment (same rotary swing cylinder as the 93A) has an entire section on transportation. The part about locking the swing cylinder was prominently discussed; however I think they also discussed locking another part of the backhoe attachment as well. You may want to look at the manul before you transport.

Top pins on my 93A were something someone had gotten out of a scrap yard.
Went to a bolt supplier and bought 2 large bolts, 2 nuts, and 4 washers.
Tightened up some of the "bucking bronco" ride when digging.
You will be up there in the comfy little seat with no guard when digging.

No seat belt either.

Have a JD410 rubber-tired backhoe, but prefer using the hoe on the 450B.

450B/93A combo is more stable when digging than with the 410.
The 450B doesn't get pulled backwards as bad like 410 does.

Have not had problems with the rotary swing. (So far)

Kemp I have the 24inch bucket would that make it 95 A? Beleave me i know will it flip ,chained it up to my crawer an lifted the back right off the ground . I figured 2000 lb I should have doubled that weight .Its hard to know what it will do. Its set up close being hook up. The comalongs are holding it stright an blocked. Gerald
