350B clutch frustrations
don't put any steel plates back in unless you have checked them for heat warp set them on a flat edge and check for the slightest clearance on both sides if this exists throw the darned things out and replace with new .Don't mess around the plates get hot and warp {dish shape} the slightest warp and you just get more slip more heat and things never get better.Putting an extra steel in is the old way of doing it but I don't recommend that at all as your pressure setting is out on the clutch face then . new friction plates and new steel plates is the way to go but if you have good flat steel plates than use them over again .Check your piston seals in the clutch pack as well they must seal well and be in perfect condition .Digitup.
Thanks for all the advise!!! I'm sure I'll have more questions soon. I'm trying to post some pictures, hope it works.
