350C Tracks

Post by philsbs » Mon Dec 26, 2005 12:41 pm

My father is in need of pretty much a complete undercarriage rebuild on his 350C. I think he's still in shock after checking the cost at the local JD dealer.
Can anyone recommend where to get aftermarket parts?

Thank You, Phil

On the whole, you will most likely find that your local dealer will be quite competitive on 350 undercarraige parts. They have no choice, 350 undercarraige is like small block Chevy parts, everybody and their dog has them so if they are not competitive, they will not sell any. I checked on rails a number of years ago, and my local dealer was less than $100 per rail cheaper retail than my COST was for a set of aftermarket chains. Plus, many dealers now handle aftermarket undercarriage parts as well as OEM.
If he does not mind used, I have a set of used 350 rails with quite new pins and bushings.

I hope i don't offend anyone, so I am sorry in advance.
I foung HeavyEquip to be about 1/2 the price that the dealer wants for track parts. HeavyEquip has been good to me.

That is kind of odd, normally on 350 undercarraige, the dealers have to be competitive.

Up here the Deere industrial guys are verry compeditive in price even the CAT guys will cut prices seems they dont want the sale to leave the shop I tryed the Breco and the Itala track people that are to be the cheep guys Deere matched it and cat was 5% more but the quality is in the Deere and Cat tracks and that is the sale for some dozer owners as they can realy justify every extra hundred hours We figure track whear to 10 dollars per hour and that little wide track 350B is a lot worse than that If it aint paying shut it down I guess .Digitup.
