350 Ring Gear O-rings

Post by bonker81 » Thu Jul 15, 2010 12:28 pm

I needed to replace the seal for the pinion shaft on the final drive of my 350. Referencing page 35-24 of the PC0921 parts manual, I removed the quill to get to the seal. I only found one of the two o-rings shown on the drawing, it went around the outside of the quill in the area that houses the bearing race (part no. T12275). I didn't find the other o-ring so I ordered it from John Deere (part no. C11884). When it arrived it appears to be the same dimension as the other o-ring and it came with (4) smaller ones approximately 3/4" OD. I have no idea where the large o-ring or small o-rings go. Can anyone comment on this?

I have run into this same problem. What did you end up doing about it?
