350B gas motor noise

I'm considering buying a 350B gas, manual blade. The motor has a loud knock when warmed up, sounds like a rod bearing. The rest of the maching seems OK, brakes, steerign, clutch, sprockets, pads. If I can but this for $7-$800 is it worth repairing the motor? What's it like to find motor parts? Is it possible to buy a used motor? Will I end up with more in it than it's worth?

Thanks for the reply. Now looking for a motor. Local mechanic started it to hear the noise, the block has a hole in it now.
