Help with Throw out bearing grease sert 350 1970 crawer.

The service manual is saying to grease the throw out bearing evey 50 hours, I can't find find a grease a sert.

i am having some problems as well with t/o bearing. gears grind and i think t/o is shot unless there is an adjustment i am not aware of. it will go into gear at low revs(still grinds)and the clutch functions well once in gear but unless i jump out neutral safety switch i can't put into gear without grinding. any tips?

thanks for the reply and have been digging depper into earlier posts. trying get familair with the 350 and how to use the forums and posts. thanks and a service manual is on the way. Regarded the neutral safety switch: maybe i am calling ti the wrong thing, but the engine wont crank unless i have the gear shift in neutral. thanks again

Ken, thanks again for reply. i have not jumped out or opened any neutral safety switch and don't plan too. i start the machine in neutral in the tranny and reverser and let it warm up at low idle. i probably haven't let it spin down long enough for the reverser and will try that.

Do you think the fluid issues (milky, tranny high, reverser low)and cold might have a role in the reverser not slowing down quickly and also leading to residual creeping , only in forward, once reverser is moved from forward to neutral after operating? Thanks again

I just happen to have 2 350 dozers in the shed that do in fact have dry cluches, meaning that they do not have reversers. My dad thought they were odd so we kept them instead of wrecking or selling them. Just thought i would let you know that there are some other non-reverser machines out there.

just loaded up santa's sled with a bunch of 303 and stuff to do the full fluid change over the upcoming holiday. local NAPA has pretty good line of filters for the JD. i'll bet some of these other issues go away when they are fresh. was also concerned about the fuel tank sump being clogged or frozen, as it was last weekdnd in the cold. i might try to get down to the bottom of the sump , through the fill and see if i can get some of that mositure and sludge out of there with a fluid exchanger. I thought about draping some tarps and blankets and putting a kerosene blower space heater down there but i think that will wait for sping. ground is frozen rock hard so i'll put off all dozing, unless snow push backs until spring.

Yes, the C models had the screen too. Matter of fact Deere still uses it in the 450-650Js that they make today!!

Thanks. Makes sense to strain out the "chunks" before the fuel goes off to the main filters.
I was pretty sure there was one so I mentioned it as a possibility, but wasn't positive. Now we know.

Thanks for ther reply guys. went out to crank 'er up this last weekend , to do the oil-fluid-filter change and it was froze up i think. checked battery, fully charged, found broken battery clamp and replaced both, checked continuity and voltage at solenoid. it will make a click when i hit the start button but nothing. tapped both with hammer, still nothing. was zero for a few days here in maine. is it possible the thing is jut too cold to crank over? was hoping to get it warmed up and all oils changed and planned on putting 5w-20 on crankcase.
