350b & 350c fuel injector

Post by mc_mike » Wed Feb 02, 2011 4:16 pm

Maybe this is a silly question but does a 350b and a 350c crawler take the same fuel injector? Anybody have a part number?

I have no real experience with 350s, but I just logged into JDParts and looked and it seems that the 350B had two different RoosaMaster injector assemblies depending on tractor serial number and the 350C had 3 different RoosaMaster injector asseblies based on tractor serial number. This is kind of irrelevant since no matter which one of the 5 you try to order, they'll put the most current part number (AR89564) into your shopping cart. This tells me that they are ALL interchangeable, but I'm not making any guarantees! :D

JD wants over $100 for a new injector, but if you just take your old ones to your local diesel shop, they will test and/or rebuild them for a fraction of that. In my opinion, it's worth taking them in to the diesel shop any time you have the injector out even if they seemed to be working fine. Swapping used ones in might just be a big waste of time if you don't get them rebuilt first.

350B injector

Post by DBCSteve » Wed Feb 02, 2011 9:24 pm

I paid about $60 each for injectors from JD for my 350B about 2 years ago. Here on the Left Coast, the JD yellow dealer in our area is Pape Machinery. I just gave 'em the serial number of my dozer and they handed me the injectors. They told me at the time that these same injectors fit a lot of equipment. Looks like the parts manual (PC 1169) shows a sub for the various parts as AR 89564, which is what the other posted reply says too.
JD 450C, Serial No. 316559T

Not to start a new round of debate here, but you may find this thread interesting and with some good places to contact. Although the discussion is for 450 injectors, it also pertains to 350 injectors.
