Need help with serial number

I recently purchased a used 450C Crawler Dozer but am unable to find a serial number on the machine. I can find the Engine data plate with serial number but as of yet, I can't find the chasis data plate. Could someone enlighten me as to where it might be located? The TM that I have shows a dataplate on the front of the battery box but there is no plate or even holes where one might have been riveted on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am also looking with NO luck. I had one guy tell me it was stamped on the cross member just under the seat, but that did not help. If you find something PLEASE let me know!

I think it is kind of behind one of your legs as you sit on the crawler, maybe off to the side.

the older 450s had the plate on the kick plate under the seat.The rest of them the plate was on the battery box front [Right side of machine] .It would be interesting to find where Deere stamped the #on thedozers at that time I know on the 310A-410 backhoes it was on the inside of the main frame.You could see it but not get to it unless you pulled the engine.Digitup.

Well I am about a week away from removing the engine in mine so I will keep an eye out.
