Earlier I posted a trans ID problem....now I question the ID of the crawler. My loader has 450B stickers on it, so I assumed it was what it said. Now looking for trany parts im not sure, hopefully someone can help me out. There is no ID tag on the machine, only the two rivet holes where it once was. The engine tag says R72972/R72973 , JD4219T, the trans tag says "powershift twindisc" model# TDC 33 430, JD 730L. The shift gate indicates 3 forward speeds, and 3 revese speeds, with neutral in the middle. It has a clamshell bucket on the front, and a backhoe attachment on the rear. I purchased 450B rollers in the past and they worked fine. Can anybody help me with ID'ing this machine, or point me to someone who can? Any help would be much appreciated.
Starting to look like a 555A????

Might help to post a photo of your machine, which could help in the identification. Your shift gate description seems confusing to me, comparing to my 450C which has a four speed transmission and a separate HLR -- with both levers to the left of the operator. Could be wrong, but I think my configuration started with the 450B series.
I searched my 450C manuals using your engine block serial numbers and could not find anything close. But I did a Google search and a number of links came up for a JD remanufactured block.

Re: missing ID tag
I don't know for sure, but I think that's probably the 3-forward,3-reverse powershift transmission that was used on the 550, 555, and 555A.robert wrote: The shift gate indicates 3 forward speeds, and 3 revese speeds, with neutral in the middle.

On the other hand, it doesn't look like any of those models came with the 219 engine, they all had a 276.
It sounds like it might be a frankenloader
