track adjuster bracket
track adjuster bracket
Sorry for not telling more info and thanks for the replies. it is the bracket that adjuster tube goes through and two bolts hold it to the top of the frame. One side seems too raise up over the bolts and i think this is why my adjuster cracked. Since last week have replaced chains - sprockets and adjuster but don,t want to ruin knew one. Thanks again

I think he is talking about his front crossbar or front cross-member. It is where the track adjuster tube slides through before it reaches the recoil spring. There should be 6 bolts on each side (4 on top 2 on the inside), and they are supposed to be stepped bushings under the bolts that hold the bar down to the track frame, but also allow a small amount of movement. Once they wear too much the bolts could pull through. If the bar is worn that badly it probably will have to be machined to fix it properly. And to properly machine it you really should have it off of the machine.
