Track Adjuster Problems

Post by AshAmJim » Wed Aug 17, 2011 6:34 pm

I have a 350C Crawler. I had the track come off, then I compressed the cylinder and track adjuster to give it some slack so I could put it back on. The cylinder got stuck but we got it to release with a come-along and a strap. Now the track adjuster won't accept the grease, it keeps leaking out of the breather and it own't put any tension on the tracks. Any ideas to what's going on?

I'm not sure how the hydraulic adjusters for a 350C vary from my 2010, but did you open the grease plug when you compressed the adjuster? If not, the seals may have been damaged.

any one see this before i was adjusting the tracks on my 2010 got them to tight went to release the pressure and it would not release pulled the set screw all the way out and found no ball so went looking to see how the grease was staying in and found that since they could not keep the grease in they pluged the relief hole took out the plug which was a grease zerk and got a new ball alls well now so you might want to see if the ball is under the set screw

unscrew the stop bolt and drop the ball in if you look at each side if only one ball is gone one bolt will be in a lot farther
