I have a 1978 550 dozer yall said 550B was a better dozer what do i need 2 watch 4 on mine as far as problems go?

dose yours have a trany pressure gauge on the dash?.If it dose have one then watch for fluctuations between F&R shifts as well as 1-2 and 3 shifts the smoother and less pressure drop the better .Your 550B has better clutch pack pistons and a better smother shift than the earlier ones.They took them as far as Deere could that was a 70s dozer built in the 90s before going to the G series dozers they were still a good machine just there day was come and gone at that point .Digitup.
