3315 Winch specs

Post by aoakley321 » Thu Aug 25, 2011 8:26 am

I recently purchased a 350 that came with a 3315 winch. I was wondering if anyone new the pulling capacity of the winch and what size cable/how much the spool holds.

Thanks

You can find specs for the winch here:

http://www.deere.com/en_US/cfd/forestry ... kidder.pdf
Cable Capacities*:
1/2-ln.wire rope: 185ft.
5/8-in. wire rope: 115ft.
3/4-in. wire rope: 90 ft.
*Calculated capacities-allowance must be made for loose or uneven spooling.

Line Pull (at 2,100 rpm):
Bare drum .14,500lb.
Full drum .. .. .. .. . .. .. .. .. . . . . .9,150lb.
Technically that's a 3305 winch, but cable specs are the same as the 3315 and 3325 winches. I'm not sure how Line Pull translates since you have less engine, but I'm guessing the PTO may not be geared the same either.
