BEST WAY TO REMOVE THE HLR TRANNY?

Post by greg noble » Wed Sep 07, 2011 7:58 pm

Hi, i have been doing a lot off reading tryin to prepare myself for the massive job of rebuilding the HLR in my 450e.
i noticed that the tech manual instructs you to remove the trans and final drive through the rear of the unit, but most people that i have read about take the engine out and remove it from the front.
What is the fastest easiest way? i guess if you take the engine out then you really don`t remove the trans, you just repair it in the dozers belly huh?
