welding

Post by 18vtx00 » Mon Sep 26, 2011 1:27 pm

So I picked up this 350B a few weeks ago, been working on her and finally pressure washed the under carriage. I should have done that first!! Found both cross shafts are welded and have recracked to the side frames. So now I have to remove the whole under carriage as a system and lift the crawler off of it then cut it all apart to repair it correctly. Anyone know of some decent used frames and cross shafts? I also need two tensioners, 4 lower rollers, both upper idlers and shafts and two sprockets. was told it was all new 400hrs ago, only the chains are in specs..

You might see if there is bolts missing they full out an tear the under carage apart. I have welded undercarrage and put the bolts back in so it should be ok.

I started cutting out the bad welds and rotted pieces to replace all the bad metal and welds.
