Post by roscoe » Sun Oct 09, 2011 1:12 pm

does the transmission have to be removed with reverser on this model?
ALSO can anyone send diagram of reverser....NEAREST JD DEALER IS 100 MILES

350D 1987+- reverser has been getting hot, found metal when draining to ck filter, any ideas on problem....costs to rebuild? and if it is doable by shade tree mechanic

You could download the service manual online from Deere. I wouldnt try to assemble the reverser without it. It has all of the specifications for setting endplays and checking pressures and such. The reverser itself isnt overly complicated, but it needs to be removed and stood on end to get it back together.
