I have a straight 350 that I recently picked up and am trying to work out a few kinks. I noticed that the main hydraulic pump has a leak coming from where the drive shaft is. Is there a seal there that can be replaced or do I have to buy/rebuild the pump? Also, in second gear sometimes the machine just quits pushing. It has a hydraulic reverser and I'm having a very hard time seeing what level the fluid is at. The third problem is that there seems to be some play in the pusher frame for the blade and sometimes it will come up and rub on the hood. Is there a way to fix this. Thanks for any help. [/img]

You can get the seal at NAPA, I just got one last week.

When your machine quits pushing, does it quit in any other gear besides second? On your blade push boom, have you checked the pivot pins at the back end of the boom? I have seen these do what you are describing and one or the other of the pivot pins would be worn really bad or completely missing.

Thanks for the help. Every time I pull the dipstick up for the reverser it has a light film that covers the entire dipstick so I cant actually tell what the fluid level is at. I have not changed the fluid or filter yet. I have not tried pushing anything in 3rd or 4th to see what it does yet.
