9450 backhoe on my 450b

Post by wyooter » Mon Oct 24, 2011 11:12 pm

Hello, I am working on getting my 9450 backoe attachment going on my 450b. Having troubles because the 9450 has a closed center system and the 450b has a open centervalve block. Does anyone know if its possible to convert the valve block on the hoe to open center by machining or replacing the end plate? or I am thinking of some type of pressure unloading valve used with a selector valve, but not sure what kind of unloading valve i need or where to find one.
Any thoughts anyone?
Thanks.

Hi Wyooter- welcome to the board:

I can't specifically answer your question, but there have been a number of posts in the past about compatability between pen and closed system before so you might want to search the archives.

Also you may get some responses in this forum, but you might get some additional ones if you post in the "late models" forum of this board. The 450 is considered a late model here, and I know some of the really knowledgable guys on the 450s look mainly in that forum.
