do you have to break the tracks to change the steering clutch on the 450b just bought this dozer it had set for 8 years inside an old barn .

yes ......some have just peeled the track off the sprocket not that easy if you have good tracks
2010 with 622 dozer with mod. 35 ripper and a 2010 with 622 dozer bought in 1969 and a 2010 loader with drott and mod. 36 ripper

i have a John Deere 450 B crawler i think it says 450d on the stickers but the model number on the id tag says t5e3m and serial number is 090458t
any help with this figuring out what it is would be appericated so i could order parts for it.
when i got it it had a side boom attached to it which i have removed.

the only thing that throws me off with all of that is that the steering has a
steering booster, power on it .
it has seperate pump and resorior for power steering?

I have 1970 350 with power steering boster, It's option very nice for the old dry clutch crawer.
1970 350 crawer/loader 93a back hoe
