550 trans poblem

I am rebuilding the transmission in a straight 550. Pulled the third range and forward/reverse range clutch shafts out with ease. I can not get the first/second range shaft to come out. The book shows a coupling shaft with keepers and lockwire but the book says to just pull the clutch shaft out with the bearing and coupling still attached. Did the book miss a step or will it just pull out? Thanks

I don't think there is a lock collar on that It should just come out like the others .Digitup.

I have had a slide hammer on it and it still doesn't budge.
