JD450 steering clutch disc specs

Post by crawler123 » Thu Nov 10, 2011 8:03 am

Can't seem to find this information in the JD450B service manual. It's probably in some other spec manual that I don't have.

I checked with one vendor that sells these aftermarket parts new and they told me that for new thickness.

Fiber should be 0.180
Steel should be 0.103

Of course that doesn't say any specs for warping or pitting etc.

It would be great if Lavoy could share information on his new parts.

I would just like to get some input because there is some conflicting info out there.
thanks
Dennis

.180-.182 is about right for 350 fiber, I would think 450 would be the same. Mike

Don't keep 450 stuff on hand, but the spec should be in a 450 service manual I would think.

Boy, if it's in the service manual I would like someone to show me where.

Like I said above, it's probably in some obscure spec manual.

Well that's probably the deal there. I have the .pdf version of the manual and it only goes up to 80.

Yes I would like a copy of that page. Thanks.
Can you scan it a put it up here for everyone?
thanks
