This really isn't strictly a Deere problem but dose occur I know the Allis Chalmers crawlers had internal leaks but the oil frothing wasn't the issue there the loss of oil pressure was the main thing .Digitup,

ended up being both control and selector valve.

It got a little better with the valve changes but the problem is still there. I've heard of welding the collectors then machining back to spec. Ever heard of this?

Talked to two JD service guys about the collectors being worn on inside diameter and neither could remember repairing the id of the collectors, just installed new sealing rings. Did you replace the rings on the pistons?
